Voria Studios Closing Letter

This is a copy of the closing letter for my former company, Voria Studios. I'm making it available here on my blog because voria.com is no longer accessable.
December 13th, 2004
I must regretfully announce that as of December 10th, 2004, our financial situation has forced us to cease full-time operations of the animation studio. We are currently in the process of taking care of any loose ends and figuring out what to do next.
While starting and operating my own animation studio has been my dream for years now, it was never my intention or desire to develop the cornerstone software of the company while handling all of the aspects of efficiently marketing and running that company. My inexperience with the latter has led to the current situation.
While we were a company without customers, we are not a company without a product—and our product is quite powerful. It is my intention to put forth my best efforts to further develop and eventually market the proprietary 2D animation software that we have developed. I refuse to just let this software evaporate into oblivion.
This has been, and I'm sure it will continue to be, an extraordinary learning experience for myself and everyone involved. I truly appreciate the support and encouragement that we have received over the past year.
In closing, I just want to mention that while we have stopped full-time operations, that the dream of the studio lives on. Who knows what could happen in the next five or ten years?
I know what I'll be working on.
Sincerely,
Robert B. Quattlebaum Jr.
