Here are a few teaser pictures from my next hacking project.
In these pictures I have my logic analyzer hooked up to the serial EEPROM chip on a old (circa 2000) 10/100Mbps switch.
I'll fill you in on more details of just what I'm planning to do in the next post. Until then, feel free to try and guess what I might be trying to do. It shouldn't be too hard to guess. In the end, it will involve some custom hardware.
And, yes, it does appear that the two PHY chips have plastic heat sinks. My mind boggles.

Its some sort of router based on the 8 port 10/100 ethernet driver chip
So my guess is your glitching the eprom to dump the firmware, and your planning on putting in a windowed eprom (or something) loaded up with l337 firmware.
