HeLooksHungry It looks like the werewolf animation that we created at Voria Studios has been somewhat popular on YouTube, even apparently inspiring someone to make a video response. This makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Synfig and Apple

It would appear that Apple is not interested in pursuing my software as a product. I've now been routed to some other departments to see if any other teams at Apple could use an extra engineer. Not great news, but it could have been worse. Yes, this means that most likely the software will be open sourced. I just need to find a job first.

Synfig Update

I just wanted everyone to know that Synfig will be getting attention soon. Once I get this site rewritten using my new content engine, I intend to use that content engine to make a Synfig project website. When I get a job offer from somewhere, then I will release the Synfig codebase under the GPL. Then you can play with the tool that has taken over my life for the past three years.

Making the Voria Logo

voria_logoAs many of you may know, sometime around 2002 I began work on starting my own company. In January of 2004, that dream was realized as Voria Studios. That company has come and gone, but the logo that I made for that company lives on in Synfig. So where did this logo come from? Well, it's an interesting story. And like most stories, the best place to start is...at the beginning.
